Tanning is your body’s natural defense against sunburns. It’s what your body was designed to do! But going from a body of sun-deprived skin to a gorgeous, natural tan isn’t always foolproof. So when our clients ask us how to tan, we focus on educating tanners in what we call “Smart Tanning.”
The golden rule of smart tanning is:  Don’t Ever Burn!
Talk to our expert Tanning Consultants about how to tan in our indoor tanning equipment without reddening your skin. We use a process called skin typing to determine what category your skin falls under to determine the equipment and lotions that will work best for you. In addition, we recommend the tanning bed tips below to prepare your skin before each session, protect it during, and enhance your tan after.

PREPARATION FOR YOUR SKIN PRIOR TO TANNING
Shower and exfoliate.
If 1-2 days before tanning ,exfoliate the skin while showering ,remove the old cells regularly, your skin will be more shiny, drying out the skin color will be more durable Bright.
Keep skin moisturizing regularly
Dry skin reflects Ultra-Violet (U.V.) light .So well-conditioned skin will get a tan easier and last longer.
Remove makeup and cosmetics
please completely remove all make up and cosmetics before tanning, to avoid that related cosmetics will block the light penetration and absorption.
Remove medicines and body care products
If you take meds, talk to your doctor to be sure your medication isn’t “photosensitive” – meaning it can be weakened or otherwise affected by UV exposure.
( For example.the acid used in the treatment of skin, A acid also please stop the night before tanning, and some meds will be sensitive to exposure to ultraviolet light, such as birth control pills, antibiotics and urinary drugs. )
Avoid wearing deodorant or perfume
Remove watches and jewelry to avoid unsightly tan lines!

DURING TANNNING SESSION
Use lip balm – lips can burn easily!
You will need to apply a SPF 15 lip balm prior to every suntanning session, inside your own home or outside, and drink some water. Our lips don’t have melanin and therefore cannot brown. If you skip this step your lip area will become very dry and chapped. Since nobody wants to kiss dry lips, it’s best you make use of your lip balm.

Apply tanning lotion before session
Apply tanning lotion immediately before your session. Never use outdoor tanning lotion or oils.  Choose a right lotion for your skin and ideal color, then apply it to skin evenly.  Not only do they contain specialized tanning ingredients they will moisturize nourish and replenish your skin giving you best results .

Wear protective goggles
Always need wear goggles or other eye protection before using any sunbed Never wear contact lenses as they can become damaged by U.V. Light .
In the market, there are long-term goggles and disposable eye-stickers. And we sell both.

If you choose to tan in the nude, be careful about areas not accustomed to sunlight. Cover sensitive areas with a towel or clothing for the first session and build up tolerance for your next visit.
Stop tanning if your skin starts to sting, which can indicate overexposure to UV rays.

TAKE CARE OF SKIN AFTER TANNING
After the tanning bed turns off your skin will continue to tan and produce melanin for at least another 12 hours. It is important to keep your skin moisturized during and after this process. Tan accelerators are designed to continue to keep your skin hydrated well after you have finished your sunbed session. You may also want to use a cooling Aloe Vera gel because it can get warm in a tanning booth. This will leave your skin wonderfully soothed, cooled, and moisturized.

AFTERWARD, FOR THE MOST RADIANT RESULTS:
Apply more lotion. Tan extenders are the best product to keep your tan looking rich and golden longer.
If you feel as though you have overexposed, use an aloe-based relief lotion or gel, like Aloe Freeze Gel.
